Education is fundamentally important to the process of helping people achieve their fullest potential. Maryville offers a range of educational services for children living at Maryville and for day students living in our community.
Local School Collaboration
Maryville partners with local school systems to develop appropriate individualized plans for each of its residents who attend the public schools. Through these partnerships, Maryville staff helps local schools to create strategies for addressing Maryville students’ emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities and to develop effective classroom interventions to support each child’s academic success.
Onsite Day School
Every effort is made to keep the young women at our Farm Campus on-track academically while participating in the program. Residents attend class at an onsite school run by the Durand School District. The staff of the school has an average of 14 years of experience working with emotionally
challenged adolescents. With support and encouragement, many of our residents excel academically.
Maryville Jen School
We provide students in grades 9 to 12 with integrated therapeutic and
educational services. The school serves children in Maryville’s residential
programs and day students from the community, who have serious
emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities. The Maryville School staff
uses hands-on, alternative and experiential teaching methods in
conjunction with traditional instruction methods to ensure student
success.
Life Skills and Vocational Training
We provide basic life skills and vocational training for youth in Maryville’s
residential and community-based programs. We teach youth to value
work and life-long learning and provide them with the skills they need to
get and keep a job. Our programs are designed to make them active
participants in planning for their own future, giving them a much-needed
sense of control over their own lives.
Scholarship Support
At Maryville, we believe that every member of our family deserves the
opportunity to become the best person that they are capable of
becoming. We provide scholarship support for college and vocational
training for young men and women from Maryville programs.
