Maryville provides a safe and stable living environment for children who are unable to live at home.
While children live at Maryville, a team of highly-trained professionals works with them and their families with the goal of restoring family life whenever possible. Children who are unable to return to their homes are prepared for long-term residential care, transitional living, foster care or independent living. Through individual, group and family therapy, children are encouraged to communicate their feelings and confront their challenges in a safe and loving environment.
Residential Treatment for Teens
Maryville offers residential treatment for teens with behavioral challenges, substance abuse problems and mental illness. The programs serve teenage boys and girls, many of whom are the victims of abandonment, exploitation and physical abuse. Maryville’s treatment programs are designed to help our residents find healing, develop communication and relationship skills, strengthen personal identity and foster positive attitudes and behaviors.
Dual Diagnosis Children
Maryville is home to as many as 60 children who are dually-diagnosed with developmental delay, mental illness, or trauma. We provide these children with a safe home, an individualized development plan, life skills, vocational training and individualized and group therapy. There is no one correct way to approach treating individuals with a dual diagnosis. Different young people have different needs. Maryville looks at each person individually and develops a customized treatment plan for each
Substance Abuse Residential Treatment
Maryville provides specialized residential treatment for children who are simultaneously dealing with mental illness and substance abuse. These co-occurring disorders are often difficult to diagnose, and unless they are treated simultaneously, one condition may worsen while the other improves..
Residential Treatment for Young Women

Maryville’s Farm Campus provides a unique framework for the delivery of gender specific services designed to meet the needs of these special young women. The program seeks to empower these young women to reach their full potential.
