FRIENDS’ FASHION SHOW AND TEA RAISES OVER $30,000 FOR MARYVILLE CRISIS NURSERY
The Friends of the Maryville Crisis Nursery hosted their third annual “Shower of Hope” Fashion Show and Tea at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield on Thursday, May 8, raising over $30,000 for Maryville’s Crisis Nursery.
The event was a great success, with over 240 guests in attendance and nine event sponsors. The event began with a reception and boutique shopping experience where guests were able to purchase the latest in fashion and accessories from neapolitan of Winnetka and t-shirts from be.ology, with a portion of sales benefiting the Nursery. Guests then enjoyed lunch and tea and listened to keynote speaker Sheila Merry, Executive Director of the Jane Addams Juvenile Court Foundation and a Maryville Board Member. Lunch was followed by a fall fashion show presented by neapolitan, with collections from designers Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, and more.
