Job Title: Youth Care Worker (Overnight at Madden Center)
Job Location: Chicago, IL
Maryville Academy's John and Mary Madden Center provides emergency shelter care to pregnant, parenting, and older adolescent young girls, ages 14-20, in an environment that is safe and nurturing. The shelter is located on the near northwest side of Chicago and is designated for emergency placement and short-term stabilization. The program serves up to 20 Department of Children and Family Service (DCFS) clients and can serve a maximum of 35 total individuals, including children, at any one time.
Position Summary:
We currently have multiple openings for Youth Care Workers at our Madden Center. The available positions are full-time and are for the third shift (overnight).
The Youth Care Worker is responsible for the day-to-day guidance and treatment of the youth at Maryville Academy. The Youth Care Worker implements individualized treatment plans or specialized treatment strategies and assists with managing our clients living environment. The Youth Care Worker promotes desirable behavior patterns and teaches important life skills (social, vocational, anger management, study and living skills) in a safe and nurturing environment. The Youth Care Worker ensures the consistent implementation and application of the Maryville philosophy and Model of Youth Care.

Maryville Academy is hiring a LICENSED Therapist. This individual will need to have a clinical license (LCSW, LCPC, or Psychologist).
The Therapist provides a wide range of therapeutic services to the youth along with ongoing consultation to treatment team staff. The Therapist's primary duty is work that requires advanced knowledge in the field of psychology or social work. Position requires the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment. The essential functions of the job include:
1.Providing individual, group, and family therapy and case management.
2.Completing all necessary clinical paperwork, including but not limited to mental health
assessments, treatment plans, comprehensive progress reports and discharge summaries, while adhering to established timelines and all licensing and accreditation standards.
3.Providing crisis intervention as needed.
4.Providing treatment that meets the guidelines of Medicaid, DCFS, and other contracting agencies and meets standards of best practice as well as licensing and accreditation standards.
5.Providing clinical supervision to non-licensed
staff, documenting each supervision session according to standards.
Minimum Requirements:

The Transition/Vocational Coordinator is directly responsible to the Principal. The essential functions of the job include:
1. Providing career counseling, arranging formal/informal vocational assessments of students, assisting with job placement and evaluating potential job sites with regard to student skills and interests
2. Coordinating INVEST program services
3. Coordinating/writing/implementing all components of student transition plan
4. Completing and filing of all necessary forms and documents
Minimum Requirements:
Type 10 Illinois Teaching with LBS I (Learning Behavioral Specialist) certification or standard certificate (Type 10) and commitment to complete LBSI requirements within a time frame established by The Director of Educational Services and ISBE.
