January 5, 2018 — One year ago, Maryville launched a fundraising campaign to reconstruct its Center for Children which houses the Crisis Nrusery and the Children’s Healthcare Center. These to groundbreaking programs provide social services and medical care to children and families in need. December 29, 2017 — Ten years after Maryville’s Children’s Healthcare Center accepted its first patient, the site will be expanding services to help more young people make the transition from hospital to home. Under a state law going into effect January 1, 2018, the center will be allowed to offer 16 beds compared to the dozen it has been using the past decade. Read the Daily Herald story here.
December 19, 2017 — Thanks to a grant from the Bright Horizons Foundation and with the help of the community at Bright Horizons Lakeshore East, the families at our St. Monica Home for mothers in recovery have a beautiful, new bright space in which to learn and thrive.
December 5, 2017 — Maryville’s Family Behavioral Health Clinic (FBHC), which provides behavioral health services and therapeutic counseling to children, families and the elderly, has expanded to locations in Humboldt Park and Bartlett.
“We are glad we have the ability to reach more children and families who need us,” said Maryville Executive Director Sister Catherine M. Ryan, O.S.F. “These clinics bring critical services closer to the families.”
Sister Ryan noted that the clinics are among a dwindling number taking Medicaid.
